Polly Belinda Cancro grew up in the suburbs of Philly and has had artistic ambitions since she could hold a crayon. Throughout her life, she has sought ways to express her creativity, whether taking art classes at school, community centers, or universities. While attending Vassar College, her drawing and painting styles matured and evolved drastically from a more realist perspective to a more surrealist and expressive one. Her most common and favorite subject to work with is the human figure, due to its raw, honest, emotional and expressive nature.
